About Freeland House
Freeland House is situated on the outskirts of Oxford and on the edge of the Cotswolds, it offers a flexible range of nursing, residential, dementia, respite, and palliative care to the elderly. The home was built in 1807 by Sir William Ellis Taunton and is set within beautifully landscaped gardens. The Regency house conversion has bright and spacious 61 bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The rooms are tastefully furnished, and we encourage our residents to bring their belongings to add a personal touch to their living space.
Freeland House offers various communal areas like spacious lounges, dining rooms, and other social areas enjoying panoramic views of the garden. On good weather days, residents can spend their time on the patio or garden with various seating options. Freeland House offers various other amenities set within the home like a salon, activities room, café, and bar area for residents to relax, socialise with other residents or spend quality time with their visiting family members.
Freeland House offers a happy, homely environment with a team of dedicated staff who go over and above to meet resident needs. The home offers person-tailored care, alongside a full lifestyle programme to enable residents to live a healthy and happy life with us. We understand each person has their own specific needs and preferences and we incorporate these choices both into our care plans and daily routines. The home is located close to Church of England churches and Methodist chapel, and the Oxford Yeoman Pub is a few minutes’ walk away. At Freeland House, we have close ties with the community in Freeland and regularly hold events at the home.
